Sam is an associate for SecondMuse Foundation where she is supporting the design and implementation of the Gender Equality in Tech (GET) Cities program in the pilot city of Chicago. In her role, Sam is focused on building coalitions between players in the Chicago technology ecosystem to advance gender equity. This includes strengthening the pipeline of women, particularly women of color, into tech careers and increasing investment in women-founded tech companies.
Sam is dedicated to the work of building more equitable cities, particularly advancing equity for women, people of color, and the queer community. Through her years of experience as the founder of a social enterprise dedicated to supporting women-owned small businesses in Chicago, she brings an entrepreneurial perspective and personal commitment to advancing gender equity to her work with SecondMuse. At heart, Sam is a community builder who is passionate about creating opportunities and space for others to thrive in their work and in their lives.
Sam holds a BS in Integrated Engineering Studies from Northwestern University. Outside of work, you can find her exploring city parks, visiting family across the Midwest, or at the gym training Muay Thai kickboxing.
