SecondMuse Offers Course: Designing Economies for People and Planet: The Sorenson Impact Center, a social impact consultancy at the University of Utah, recently invited SecondMuse to participate in an initiative that aims to make economies more inclusive. The initiative, called Project DEEP (Developing Equitable Economies Program), is designed to drive inclusive entrepreneurship by sharing resources and building a supportive network of people and organizations seeking to unlock more equitable wealth creation. GET Cities Launched GET Seed Founder Cohort: GET Cities Chicago’s Tech Equity Working Group announced the launch of the GET Seed Founder Cohort, with the aim to fund and support nine Chicago-based, women-founded tech startups in the seed stage. This initiative was co-designed with the founders themselves, ensuring that their feedback was incorporated and their voices were heard at every stage of implementation.
Celebrating Innovators at Headstream Innovation Festival: At the Headstream Innovation Festival earlier this month, we gathered to celebrate and learn from 12 innovators about their roles in building the youth digital wellness ecosystem. Attended by 600+ Headstream community members virtually and in person, the event surfaced important points on the issue, such as the difference between UX (user experience) and HX (human experience) in digital experience. SecondMuse Hosts an Innovation Session at the G20 Pre-Event: Our Global Head of Circularity, Simon Baldwin, together with the Alliance to End Plastic Waste and Nestle Indonesia, hosted an innovation session at a G20 pre-event in early November. Five plastic waste innovators in Indonesia shared their insights on curbing ocean plastic pollution through businesses.
Scale for ClimateTech Hosts ClimateTech Innovation Showcase: Scale for ClimateTech and the Consulate General of Canada in New York hosted a daylong event that centered on 18 startup presentations and demos to a select 100+ audience of investors, potential customers, strategic partners, and other ecosystem players. The showcase event was aimed at supporting climate technologies and advancing a more robust and equitable climate future across North America and beyond.
