Grace Kaimila-Kanjo

Grace Kaimila-Kanjo is a Senior Project and Team Lead at SecondMuse, leading the Secretariat for the AI Collaborative for Health, working with governments, funders, implementing partners and other stakeholders to advance responsible and impactful use of AI for Health across sub-Saharan Africa. With more than 25 years of experience in international development and institutional leadership, including as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Advisor in international organizations, Grace brings expertise in strategic leadership, government engagement, organizational strengthening and multi-stakeholder collaboration to her work.

Grace is passionate about bringing diverse people and institutions together around complex challenges and turning collective ambition into practical action and lasting change. Her experience across Africa has reinforced her belief that sustainable impact comes from working with - not simply for - governments, communities and local institutions, and from strengthening systems so that solutions can be owned and sustained locally.

She is happiest when she is learning, connecting with people and exploring new places. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, discovering different cultures and cuisines, and believes that some of the best ideas and conversations happen around a shared meal (or a drink).
