Combating Corruption in the Health Care Sector.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), corruption in the global health care sector is estimated to account for approximately 300 billion dollars in annual lost revenue. The WHO division tasked with addressing this critical problem reached out to SecondMuse to assist with the development and implementation of a training program for mid to high-level members of various Ministries of Health. SecondMuse was further charged with connecting the members of these Ministries such that their efforts in combating corruption could reinforce each other. After helping to facilitate a training session in Jordan for several Ministries, SecondMuse was asked to rewrite the training curriculum and to lead a week-long “train the trainers” program the following year. The primary purpose of the training was to develop the capacity of local trainers to deliver the training and secondarily to learn to collaborate with the ministries in defining future anti-corruption initiatives.
